Wake’n Bacon

A Great Restaurant for Family and Friends

This is the CocoRazz Stuffed French Toast at Wake’n Bacon that cost $12. Strongly recommend.

Wake’n Bacon is a restaurant located at 420 W Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60657. It has very modern decor with friendly customer service and tasteful food.

The modern decor in Wake’n Bacon restaurant is like no other restaurant because of its vines hanging from the ceiling, which is a nice decoration and not seen anywhere. It is modern because people can also pay without having to interact with the cashier. For example, old-fashioned restaurants sometimes do not take Apple Pay or do not have a mini tablet for people to pay without interacting with the cashiers. It is a bit more common to be able to pay without making interactions with a cashier at supermarkets or sometimes even restaurants.

The decoration makes the restaurant very interesting and one of a kind. It includes very unique decorations and it makes it feel more personal. The restaurant has a photo wall where you are able to take pictures and hang them on the wall. The restaurant additionally provides a copy of the photo to take home. They also have a modern bathroom design like the faucet was a swan which is not often seen as much. The decoration was overall amazing and colorful.

The customer service was very kind and helpful when helping us pick meals to try. This gave me a welcoming and relaxed feeling since I did not feel rushed to pick something from the menu. The employees were very polite and seemed like they were very polite to all of their customers, not just me. It can be a bit intimidating to go to a new restaurant and having rude and pushy employees does not help, but at Wake’n Bake, the employees were very helpful, polite, and friendly.

As for the food, I ordered the spicy chicken and waffles. The waffles were fluffy and the chicken was crispy, cooked right, and was just the right amount of spiciness. Wake’n Bacon is a great place to go with friends and enjoy a brunch meal.

I would disagree with the statement that Adela Redzic made: “the place looks pretty but the food is not good and the menu is the weirdest brunch menu I’ve seen. I wouldn’t go back- not sure why this is so popular on Chicago brunch lists.”

Personally, I feel it is better to have a different menu to try different breakfast dishes instead of eating the same ones. Therefore, the menu is not a big deal because it is unique that you do not see a unique menu around in other restaurants so that is why people find it weird. Overall, I recommend Wake’n Bacon because it is very modern, has friendly customer service, and has tasteful food.

As I said before, it has the perfect recipe for waffles. Additionally, people can really enjoy a great breakfast time with family and friends with unique breakfast choices.
